About the founders

Brooke – Co-Founder & Creative Lead

Brooke always knew she wanted the freedom to work on her own terms. After years in corporate retail, she realised she was done making money for companies that didn’t value their staff. When motherhood came into the picture, she saw an opportunity to turn her creativity and passion into something bigger—a business that worked around her life, not the other way around.

That path led to Little Posey Boutique, born from a love of baby products, creativity, and making something meaningful. As the business grew, Brooke and Candice saw an opportunity to create something bigger than themselves—a space where other small businesses could thrive. That’s how Little Posie Collective was built: out of a vision for collaboration over competition.

What Brooke Brings to WIBAL

Brooke is a creative force. Where others see a blank space, she sees possibilities. She has a strong eye for branding, design, and business growth, bringing new ideas to life—even if they don’t all work out (because, as she says, “nothing is broken until it’s broken”).

She thrives in community-focused spaces, where women support each other rather than compete. Having come from industries where she didn’t always feel like she fit in, Brooke is excited to create a space where every woman—no matter her background or experience—feels like she belongs.

Why WIBAL?

Brooke never thought she’d enjoy working in a female-led space—but being a founder has proved to her that business doesn’t have to be cutthroat. She wants women to feel safe asking for help, bouncing ideas around, and making mistakes without fear of failure. For her, WIBAL is about giving women the confidence to try, fail, learn, and grow – to “Dare. Do. Done.”

Beyond Business

Brooke balances business, family, and personal growth with a mindset that work should fit around life, not the other way around. With a strong support network, she prioritises flexibility, presence, and boundaries—and she firmly believes that business only rules your life if you let it.

Outside of work, she’s all about family time, solo walks to recharge, meditation, and enjoying a hot chocolate in peace after school drop-off.

Her business philosophy? “Mistakes aren’t failures—they’re lessons that get you closer to success.”

Candice – Co-Founder & Operations Lead

Candice didn’t set out to start a business—she just knew she needed something better. After years in property management, a corporate merger turned her once-loved job into a soul-sucking grind. So she walked away, trusting that she could build something different.

That something became Little Posey Boutique, which began as a market stall selling baby products and crystals—a fusion of her and co-founder Brooke’s passions. As the business grew, they saw an opportunity to create something bigger than just their own brand. This led to Little Posie Collective, a thriving space where multiple small businesses could grow together.

What started as a passion project quickly became a thriving business hub in Gawler. With a “Dare. Do. Done.” mindset, Candice jumped into entrepreneurship, trusting that they’d figure it out along the way—and they did.

What Candice Brings to WIBAL

Candice is the operational backbone of her businesses. She’s the one handling the accounts, the ordering, and keeping things running behind the scenes while balancing family life. She and Brooke work as a perfect team, each excelling where the other doesn’t—Candice drives structure and logistics, while Brooke brings creativity and vision.

She thrives on supporting other small businesses and creating opportunities for women to work for themselves, on their own terms. She’s also a big believer in honesty and direct communication—if there’s a problem, say it, solve it, and move forward.

Why WIBAL?

Candice is excited about WIBAL because it’s an opportunity to learn, share, and grow with other women in business. She wants WIBAL to help women feel more confident in their own abilities—whether that’s owning their strengths, improving their weaknesses, or outsourcing the things they don’t love doing. Business isn’t about knowing everything—it’s about figuring it out as you go and not being afraid to ask for help.

Beyond Business

Between running a business and raising a family, Candice is always on the move. Whether she’s balancing numbers, managing stock, or making time for her kids, she’s living proof that business and family don’t have to be either-or. And when there’s finally a quiet moment? She’s all about a good book, a bit of escapism, and maybe some trash TV to unwind—because balance matters, too.

Her philosophy in business (and life) is simple: Try it. If it fails, learn from it. Then try something else.

Jac Travers – Co-Founder & Strategic Lead

Jac is a strategist, leader, and unapologetic advocate for women carving their own paths in business and leadership. With 15 years of experience leading teams, driving culture change, and transforming business operations, she has built a career around challenging outdated systems and creating opportunities where none existed before.

Jac’s leadership spans public and private sectors, where she has:

  • Led high-performing teams through change, growth, and uncertainty
  • Developed and executed large-scale business strategies
  • Overhauled outdated systems to improve efficiency and accessibility
  • Built capacity in individuals and teams through mentorship and leadership development

She thrives in high-pressure environments where bold ideas and decisive action create real results. Whether she’s leading teams through complex transitions, redesigning business models, or advocating for greater equity in leadership, her approach is always people-first, strategic, and fearless.

Why WIBAL?

Jac co-founded Women in Business and Leadership (WIBAL) because too many brilliant women are overlooked, undervalued, or forced to play by outdated rules. WIBAL exists to break that cycle—to create a space where women step up, take action, and build success on their own terms.

For Jac, WIBAL isn’t just about connecting with each other—it’s about real impact and change. It’s about women taking the lead, living a “Dare. Do. Done.” attitude, and knowing they belong in the room.

Her leadership philosophy is grounded in curiosity, transparency, and resilience. She believes that ‘awkwardness is an indicator of learning’ (Chris Voss) and that building others up never dims your light—it only makes the world shine brighter.

Beyond Business

If she’s not leading, strategising, or creating opportunities for women, you’ll find Jac watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, sleeping, or she’s dead—there’s no other reasonable explanation.
